Education:
- Renovation & construction of school infrastructure along the pipeline
- Organisation of school prizes awards ceremonies along the pipeline
- Computers donation in schools selected along the Pipeline
Community Health:
- Renovation & construction of health care centres along the pipeline.
- Reduction of mortality due to snake bites through antivenom donation to health care centres.
- Organisation of screening and health awareness campaigns along the pipeline route.
Community access to water:
- Water wells construction & rehabilitation.
Environmental Protection & biodiversity conservation:
- Funding for the protection of biodiversity in the Campo-Ma’an and Mbam & Djerem National Parks via the Foundation for the Environment and Development of Cameroon.
- Funding of the Indigenous Peoples Plan to improve the living conditions of Bakola and Bagyeli communities located in the vicinity of the pipeline in the Ocean Division through FEDEC.
Improvement of local community livelihood and support to local economy:
- Support for the implementation of community income-generating activities along the pipeline.
Sponsoring of cultural and sport events :
- Sponsoring of selected cultural and sport events.

Socio-economic sustainability
We believe that the socio-economic sustainability of our activities (operation and maintenance of the Chad/Cameroon export transport system) is a key component in achieving positive development results through a participatory approach involving the communities in which we operate.
Maintaining standards
We maintain high ethical standards and respect all applicable laws and regulations, as well as local and national cultures. Above all, our primary commitment is to operate in a safe, reliable, environmentally responsible and competitive manner, which is a necessary condition for the implementation of a corporate social responsibility strategy.
Strategy
Our strategy is to achieve positive development results through activities that we support for the benefit of the communities in which we operate in Cameroon. These activities include capacity building, projects, contributions, socio-economic investments or community development initiatives directly sponsored by COTCO and/or other contributors.
